Niagara, Oregon This photo was an early postcard of Niagara.  Niagara was located on the North Santiam River, about eight miles east of Mill City in Marion County.  A post office was established there in 1890.  The Sardeen referred on the postcard may be in reference to Sardine Creek which was a tributary of the North Santiam River.  The name Sardine also extended to the mountain in the area. Contributed by Mike and Kathy of Vintage Postcards and Stamps
