Note: Research on this family is ongoing. I have not personally researched the first three generations but have included them here as a guide. My research on my direct line starts with the 4th generation. They are noted in red. This is meant to be used as a guide for others doing research on this family.    23. Jesse6 Patty (James5 Paty, Edward4, Edward3, Theophilus2, Unknown1) was born Abt. 1744 in Brunswick Co, VA, and died Aft. November 09, 1795 in Union Co, SC. He met (1) Sarah West, daughter of Joseph West and Jane Owen. She was born 1745. I have found no indication they were ever married and in fact court records show he was instructed to take responsibility for his three sons by Sarah "Sally" West. He married (2) Delila Doss Aft. 1780.
