HOPMERE

An early station on the Oregon Electric Railway, it was located N of present day Keizer. Officials of the Railway originally named the station Chemeketa. Local enthusiasts, however, changed the name to Hopmere after the abundant crop found growing in the area. Even today, hops are seen growing nearby. A four-way stop and a small store marks the location. There is a small industrial park in the area and several nurseries.

My name is Stephenie Flora. I hope you have enjoyed your visit.
