LEWISBURG

Lewisburg post office was named for the 1851 pioneer family of Daniel P. Lewis. The office was established about eight miles S-SE of Silverton on Apr 1889 with Samuel Lewis as postmaster. Five years later it was closed. The area later became known as Victor Point.
